Dropbox - Upload Document Facility for Students Course Homework

Location:  Learning Management/Courses/Course Editor -> Classroom Options Section - Dropbox Service Checkbox

Overview: The “Dropbox” facility allows students and teachers to upload and share documents such as PDFs, Work Documents, Excel and other common file types. This can be used by the student to submit homework. The teacher can upload documents to share with the entire course, or just a selected student to share with.

Summary Points

  • Enable this service to allow students and teachers to upload and share documents.
  • A link will show up on the left navigation of their Course
  • Student uploaded documents will be associated with their Student Course Record (can be used for Homework)
  • The teacher setting in the Course Editor defines who gets the email notification of the upload.
  • The Teacher can upload to the Dropbox section of the individual Student Course Record to add a Document that only that student will see.
