Add Equivalents to Prerequisites for a Course |
Location: Learning Management/Courses/Course Editor -> Equivalent Courses Section or Equivalent Course Categories Section
Overview: Equivalent Courses serve as a way to grandfather in not currently in use courses that qualify as a prerequisite. Equivalent Courses are set on the Prerequisite Course level. Equivalent Courses are set in two locations: Equivalent Courses Section and Equivalent Course Categories Section, depending on what your needs are.
Note: At this time prerequisites and equivalents are specifically used in the Registration Service and are not yet available for students who are registering via the shopping cart or via the back end administrator.
Add Equivalent Courses Individually to a Course
Add Equivalent Courses in bulk via the Equivalent Categories Section
Location: Learning Management/Courses/Course Editor -> Equivalent Courses Section
Overview: The Equivalent Courses Section is where you can assign which individual course or courses qualify as an equivalent to the prerequisites of a course.
Equivalent Courses are set on the Prerequisite Course level.
This section to assign equivalent courses is most useful if you have a small handful of courses that count as equivalent to prerequisites.
Location: Learning Management/Courses/Course Editor -> Equivalent Course Categories Section
Overview: The Equivalent Course Categories Section is where you can assign which courses—within a group of courses—qualify as equivalent to the prerequisites to a course.
Equivalent Courses are set on the Prerequisite Course level.
This section can be useful if you have a large quantity of courses to add that will qualify as equivalent to the prerequisite courses. Using the category approach, all you need to do is ensure any qualify courses have the correct category assigned.
