Create a Complimentary Event Registration via Order for Accurate Sales Reporting

Location: Contact Management/Contacts/Contact Record View Mode / Orders Section -> New Sales Receipt or Invoice

Overview: There are two basic ways to register someone for an event without collecting payment. You can just manually create an event registration record and associate it with the contact. Or you can create an order record to register the contact for the event, adjusting the price to free and  then submitting the order.  (You may also create an item within the event that is free, and choose to show to admin only.)  However, you set it up, The free order method is the best approach for accounting and revenue reporting.
