Create a Rule to Add Contact to Subscription Opt-In Via a Web Page Visit

Overview:  In Full Partner there are a number of ways you can prepare your website to capture opt-in email subscriptions. The two main ones that are based on the action of your website visitors are as follows:

Provide an Opt-In Form for your Website Visitor to Fill Out

It's common practice to provide an opt-in form on your website. This is the most popular way to build your list and this method works best to capture new leads as well as returning website visitors who want to hear more from you. (Learn more about this method here.)

However... If you have an existing list that you want to clean up, or already have contacts in your system that you want to start sending to, but do not want to ask them to fill out a form, you can use the following method:

Bypass the Form and Create a Rule that Allows Existing Contacts to Simply Click on an Email Link!

You can set it up so that your existing contacts are automatically added to your opt-in list via a rule you create that is set to trigger when they visit a specific page on your website. They will  access this link via  an invitation email broadcast that you craft and send to them.

This method is best used to clean up your existing lists and contacts you already have in your database as well as re-subscribe any contacts if you need to ensure that you have a true opt-in list.
