Creating Lists in Contacts

Overview: There are two types of list you can create in Contacts they are:

• Subscription Type List – The Subscription List is designed to be a static list that you can add your contacts to in order to send them appropriate Email Broadcasts. An example may be your Newsletter List. 
  
  
• Query Type List – A Query List (sometimes called segmented list) is a more dynamic type list based on pre-defined criteria that you set. An example may be a list of members paying for access to your website. In this case, the Member Group Query List will autopopulate based on the criteria of an assigned Member Group to a Contact record. 

*Query Lists and Subscription Lists both show up in the Email Broadcast List Finder as available lists to send emails to.
