Taxable Status Setting on Product

Location: Ecommerce/Products inside the Product Editor/General Section -> Taxable Yes/No Setting

Overview: Set to yes as needed to charge sales tax for that specific product. The tax amount to collect is set in the Website Settings and is generally set to be calculated according to the state your business is located in. This website setting  then does a live look up in to a national tax look up database to calculate according to the required tax rate. To set whether an individual Product, Course or Event is taxable, edit each object find the Taxable Yes/No setting and set accordingly. The default setting is Yes for products, and this setting is carried over if you duplicate an object.

If the product is not taxable set it to No and not tax will be collected on the product.
