Location:  Learning Management/Courses/Student Course Records  -> New Button - Student Course Record Editor

Overview: There are several locations where a new student course record can be created. In this module we review how to create a course registration or student course record from the Account Manager within the Student Course Records finder and advise on other locations where this task can be done.

How to Create a New Student Course Record or Course Registration:

  1. Visit Learning Management/Courses/Student Course Records
  2. Click New to open a new Student Course Record
  3. In the Student field, click Find to associate a Contact as Student
  4. In the Course field, click Find to associate a Course
  5. In the Course Item menu, review or set a corresponding Course Item if relevant — note, the system will default to the first item of a course
  6. Review dates and other settings as needed
  7. Save and Close

Where to Create and Manage Student Course Records

The three main locations where you can create a new Student Course Records are:

  • Student Course Record Finder: The primary location where you can search, sort, create, edit, and manage Student Course Records is found under Learning Management/Courses/Student Course Records.
  • Contacts Finder: Under Contact Management/Contact in the Courses Section of the View  Mode of a Contact Record, you will see the Student Course Records for that contact only. You can create, edit, and manage from here.
  • Courses Finder: Course View Mode/General Section - At this time, this location only shows the first 500 records for a course. You can create, edit, and manage from here.
  • Orders: You can create and process an order for a course registration and this will  automatically create a Student Course Record to register the contact for the course.
