How to Refund or Void an Order

Location: Ecommerce/Orders/Order Editor -> Save and Create Refund Button

Note: Any credit card order placed within less than 24 hours will automatically become a void via the Refund Button/Submit as the credit card was never actually charged. The process for voiding an order is the same process used for refunding as seen in this tutorial.

Summary of Points on How to Refund or Void an Order:

Located under Ecommerce/Orders/Order Editor -> Save and Create Refund Button

AND  Located under Contact Management/Contacts Contact Record View Mode -> Orders Section / 

• Click the Create Refund Button, this takes you into a Refund Editor.
• The Refund Editor will assume you want to do a full refund at first. If this is true all you need to do next is submit the Refund.
• If you need to do a partial refund, simply review the Items you want to remove or adjust the price on and make those changes as needed.
• The Subtotals and Total will adjust as you adjust the pricing at the Item level.
• The Total in the Refund Editor, is the total to refund back to the customer.
• The Quantity Shown in the Refund Editor, is the total to return to Inventory -> This is for Products only. 
  -> For Events, you need to manually add the seat back into the Event Editor Available Seat field Under Event Items table. 
• When you are satisfied with the Refund details, click the Submit Refund Button.
• It's important to note that Refunds are a new type of order record. The original order will still be kept in tact, mark as paid, but in addition a new record will reference that order number and be a Refund type order. This is done in order to keep a historical record financial and otherwise of what transactions occurred.
