Add to Member Group and Category with Purchase of a Product with a Rule

Location: Marketing Automation/Rules -> New Or Edit Existing Relevant Rule

Overview: In this video we review how to add a member group and a category to a contact with purchase of a product.

Summary of  Steps to Add to Member Group and Category with Purchase of a Product with a Rule:

  1. Located under Marketing Automation/Rules -> Click New (Or Edit Existing Relevant Rule)
  2. Set the "Trigger" e.g. When a Product is Purchased / Select the associated Product
  3. Set the "Action"  e.g. Add Contact to a Member Group/Find the Relevant Member Group (Note: Member Groups are best created beforehand)
  4. Set Add a New Action to Add Contact to a Category/Find the Relevant Category (Note: Categories are best created beforehand)
  5. Review any Conditions and set if needed
  6. Make sure Rule is set to Active
  7. Save and Close

Note: You can add as many Actions as needed within a Rule with a single trigger, however you must use proper logic.

Also Note: Actions happen in the order they are presented in the Rules Editor and their may be times that this becomes relevant.
