Forum Participants Post and Reply to Posts in Forums

Location: Public Website/Page or Course where Forum is hosted/Discussion/Thread -> Post or Reply Editor

Overview: The posts and replies are where your forum participants will interact directly with your forum. They can create new posts under a thread and reply to other forum participant’s posts. They also have the ability to include photos or documents along with their posts.

Inside Threads are where Forum Participants Post and Reply

The Forum Threads provide threaded discussions. This means you and others can respond to the same original and subsequent messages, thereby creating a logical flow to the postings.

The Thread's purpose is to provide a place where the participants can communicate each other via a “chat board” format  and share their thoughts on the topic or on the corresponding lecture.

  • To post a comment or question in a Thread: Click the New Post button and type in the editor that comes into view.  When finished, be sure to click Save to publish the post.
  • To reply to another post comment or question: click the Reply link to the bottom left of the comment or post and type in the editor that comes into view.  When finished, be sure to click Save to publish the reply. Type in the editor that comes into view, then be sure to click Save when you are ready to post.

Note: if there are no posts in the thread, make sure your forum participants have a good prompt to the conversation!
