How to Cancel or Adjust an Ongoing Recurring Payment Order

Location: Under both Ecommerce/Orders/Order Editor -> Status 19 Master Recurring Payment Order 
AND/OR  Located under Contact Management/Contacts /Contact Record View Mode -> Orders Section/ Edit Order for Status 19 Master Recurring Payment Order

Overview: Via the Master Recurring Payment Order record, you can cancel a membership, set it to pause until future notice, or you can set it to a future date to "skip a payment."

Summary of Steps to cancel an ongoing recurring payment order

1. Find Contact in Contacts, and click on Orders in View Mode (Alternately Search in Ecommerce/Orders)
2. Locate and Edit the Status 19 Master Recurring Payment Order associated with the Contact’s Order you want to cancel.
3. In the order editor, Set the Order Status to: Status 29 Inactive Master Recurring Payment 
4. Save and Close

Note: You do not need to delete the recurring order, setting it to inactive per above will halt all future payments. It is actually to save it as a record of what happened, especially in case any customer service issues should arise.

How to Pause a Recurring Order – If  the customer just wants to pause their subscription you can follow the same steps as canceling, then when they are ready to re-start their subscription, you can come back and re-edit the recurring order record, set it back to active and set the date that you want to resume future payments.

How to Skip a Recurring Order Payment – If you want to adjust the date for the upcoming future payment, or want to “skip” a payment, edit the Status 19 Master Recurring Payment Order, set the date into the future that you want to start the next payment on, keep it set to Active, and Save and Close.
